Chateau Ste Michelle and Dr. Loosen
Eroica Riesling 2004

I had the good fortune to
taste Chateau Ste. Michelle and Dr. Loosen Eroica Riesling 2004
when a family member, who is also a sommelier, brought it to a
family function. He also brought a bottle of Chateau Ste.
Michelle White Riesling Ice Wine 2003 that Wine Spectator rated
at 95 points. I really enjoy rieslings and ice wines, so in my
opinion, this was a very special evening.
The Eroica label is the
result of two great winemakers (Bob Bertheau of Chateau Ste.
Michelle Estates and Ernst Loosen of Dr. Loosen Estates) coming
together in a joint venture to produce an award winning wine.
Eroica, which is named for Beethoven's Third Symphony, is an
excellent example of what can be experienced by mixing both Old
World and New World technique and philosophy...a lively, bold,
sumptuous wine
